Executives

Executives In Action (EIA) works exclusively with seasoned professionals in transition who have years of management experience in the business sector. Executives applying to the program should meet specific criteria including:

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in their field
  • Previous position as senior level management

After applying online, applicants will be asked to schedule an interview and pass a background check.

EIA members are servant leaders who use their business skills to impact local nonprofits.  Benefits of working as a consultant in the Executives In Action program include:

  • Meaningful projects that effectively match the skill level of executives to the needs of nonprofit organizations.
  • Bridging transitional gaps in your resume and increasing potential employment networking.
  • Adding value to their communities by consulting with nonprofit organizations.

Di Ann Sanchez : CEO

EIA dispatched HR expert Di Ann Sanchez, SPHR to the project. She uncovered additional legal issues, including the misclassification of employees and improper I-9 documentation, which could have led to a penalty of up to over $262,000.
But by putting the right systems in place, Di Ann helped the organization avoid this issue, while also appropriately handling the other recent claims filed against them. Thanks to Di Ann and EIA, this organization will continue to be a positive influence on our community’s children for years to come.

What Is The EIA Experience?

Executives are matched with nonprofits that meet their passions and are deployed on projects that capitalize on their competencies. While most volunteer programs focus on basic skills, EIA allows allows highly skilled executives to use their well-developed professional talents.

Executives are provided unique opportunities to dive deeply into a nonprofit’s business while maintaining the comfort of a clear exit – most projects last no more than 90 days. Many executives, however, choose to continue volunteering with their nonprofit after the end of their project and even once they have landed another permanent assignment. Several have taken board seats or full-time positions in the nonprofits where they were placed!

Throughout their association with EIA, executives participate in EIA-sponsored events, networking sessions, and training opportunities. Together they create a community of servant leaders, and, for many, this is one of the most valuable aspects of their membership in EIA.
